Order date: April 16th. Still waiting (May 21th)....
I'm not sure about the high volume, high quantity, low price: Batavus uses the hub in two high-end city bikes and a "leasebike".
Looks to me that Batavus first wants to see if Nuvinci will be a succes on these three bikes before they implement it on other models.

But (fortunately) the customers are draining the factory, so quantity will go up.

Dekker kareldoormankade 30, 1813TS Alkmaar. Succes met de NU VInci

The NuVince is revolutionair! It is smooth and sensational! In my shop De Vakantiefietser (Amsterdam) we sell many trekkingbikes with the Rohloff-speedhub. So I tend to compare these two with each other. The NuVinci hub is heavier and the range is for a trekkingbike too small.

I'm looking forward to a special NuVinci-trekkinghub. A special NuVinci-trekkinghub does not have to be cheap! Only the weight should be a bit lower, the range should be a bit larger and it must be durable.

How many can you sell in one year for the trekkingmarket? Looking at the serialnumbers of Rohloff, I expect it to be around 10.000 a year.

I'm a bit afraid NuVinci is only looking at the Nexus hubs as a competitor. So they chose for a high volume, high quantity and low price. Looking at Rohloff, NuVince can also choose for high quality low volume and high price. That would be my recommendation. A higher price makes the hub also more exclusive!
